 Stewardship & Church Growth

The history of All Saints Anglican Church over the past two years is truly an amazing story of faith, hope and personal sacrifice. There is much more to be done and more financial support is needed to make God’s plan for us a reality.

We need more space to attract new families to worship with us. We need to provide their children with a good Christian education in an appropriate classroom environment. We have the vision in our church family to accomplish these lofty goals. Each month you have heard personal witness from fellow parishioners about his or her own reasons for supporting All Saints Anglican Church. The Holy Spirit is present at All Saints and I feel that He sent all of us here to do His will using the individual talents that He has gifted to each of us. I know that many of you share this sentiment.

Ann Marie and I came to All Saints looking for a new spiritual home and a new spiritual family. We wanted to belong to a faith based church community. We wanted to be contributors to the spiritual and social fabric of the congregation. Our search for a new church took us on a journey that lasted almost two years. We were struggling to find a place that met our needs and practiced the faith in a way that met our vision of what God wanted from us as Christians. We have found our home.

Perhaps we need to make a unified effort to encourage new people to join us in worship; to show them that All Saints is a place where the Holy Spirit is present and demonstrate our faith in God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. I believe that people are looking for faith and worship as practiced at All Saints. We need to help families see that their new spiritual home is here at All Saints. The Holy Spirit will guide us in the right direction and the congregation will grow and therefore our ability to do God’s work will also grow.

I offer this prayer for church growth and stewardship:

Dear Lord we are a faithful parish with a passion for the Passion; with a hunger to pick up our cross and follow Jesus; with a commitment to do God’s will; with a faith to listen to the Holy Spirit tell us what is expected of us; with a common desire to thwart evil and to spread the Gospel; with the will to praise God and give him thanks for the gift of life and all the gifts we have received. Lead us to do all that is necessary to achieve Your plan for this parish and all those You has decided to put under our care. Thru Jesus Christ Our Lord & the Holy Spirit we pray. Amen.
